Playstation VR the Pros & Cons

VR headset

PlayStation has released their own VR headset but is it a good one or not? The people at Engadget tested the VR headset and listed out the pros and cons of it. The world of VR is growing rapidly as each electronic brand want to create their own version of one that has its own unique functions that another headset may not have.

The headset is one of the cheapest ones as it starts at around $400 which equivalates to around £300. It gives you a real insight to what a VR headset is like and for that price we think it’s a pretty reasonable price. Although you are looking to pay around $500 which is £375 if you haven’t got the controllers or the camera. It’s a comfortable headset to wear which is important if you are playing it for a long period.

The headset is designed with a single cushioned arm to secure itself to your head. It’s 0.3 pounds heavier than the rift, however, it’s a lot more comfortable and can be worn for a longer period of time. The VR games are shown clearly through the headset which is a good sign as it means that the LCD inside is of a high quality.

One of the downsides to the VR headset is that you will need a lot of space around you to use it. You’ll also have to watch out for wires when using the headset. The VR isn’t as smooth as the Rift or the Vive but it is a good headset for first-time users.

Overall the headset is a good enough one for those who have never used VR before however, there are still some improvements that could be made. Such as making it a lot more compact so that people in smaller spaces can use it. We  think that it is a great addition to PlayStations line of products.
