The very first iPad Mini arrived in 2012, squeezing the full iPad experience into a 7.9-inch frame powered by the A5 chip. It wasn’t a Retina display, but its size and weight made it an instant favourite for reading, browsing and travel. Many of these original Minis are now well over a decade old, and that age is starting to show in the way they perform and the parts that fail.

Because the screen on the original iPad Mini uses separate glass and LCD layers rather than a fully laminated assembly, a cracked front panel can often be repaired by replacing just the glass, which keeps costs down. Batteries in these units are now at the very end of their natural life, so poor charge retention, swelling, and devices that won’t power on at all are extremely common. We also see worn Lightning ports, sticky home buttons, and weak audio from years of dust ingress.

On the other hand, a courier service simply means we pick the device up, fix it and drop it back off on the same day.
