How do you know if you need to replace the battery on your Macbook Pro? first we will start with a bit of battery knloadge, the battery that is in your Macbook Pro is what is called a Lithum-ion battery. These are extremely good batteries as they do not form a charge memory and have a longer life expectancy. But like any battery the the downside to them is that over time they lose their charge capacity, basically they cant hold as much charge as it once used to : ) On average your battery will be good for between 300 – 1000 cycles (a charge cycle is one full charge) depending on your model of Macbook.
